Peace of mind, quietly arranged.
Kenya is a safe, well-run safari destination — and for the few journeys that need more, we build a security posture around them: assessed in advance, coordinated with professionals, and completely invisible to you.
Safe by default. Protected when it matters. Never overdone.
The best security is the kind you never notice — because it was planned long before you arrived.
First, the reassurance: Kenya is a long-established, well-run safari destination, and for the great majority of our guests a safari here is simply safe. The private conservancies and camps we use are remote, controlled, and looked after by people who live and work there. Most journeys need very little beyond good planning — and good planning is something we do as a matter of course.
For guests who do need more — public figures, executives, families with reason to be careful — we build a security posture around the trip. That begins with an honest risk assessment and, where it’s warranted, an advance reconnaissance of routes, venues and timings. It runs through coordination with licensed, professional close-protection teams — your own, or vetted specialists we can introduce — because protection is their profession, not something we improvise.
And it always includes the things that matter most in a remote country: medical and evacuation cover planned in advance, secure ground logistics, reliable communications, and contingencies rehearsed before they’re ever needed. The aim is simple — that the security around your journey is thorough, professional, and completely invisible to you.
What we are, and aren’t. We’re a safari house with deep local knowledge and the right partners — not a private security firm. We plan, coordinate and handle the logistics of your safety, and we work hand in glove with licensed protection professionals. We don’t pretend to replace them.
Four ways we keep you safe
Assessed in advance
A clear-eyed risk assessment and, where needed, an advance reconnaissance — long before you travel.
Professional protection
Coordination with licensed close-protection teams — your own, or vetted specialists we introduce.
Medical & evacuation
Medevac cover, the nearest clinics mapped, and insurance liaison — planned before you land.
Scaled to need
From a single point of liaison to a full posture — never more than the trip requires, never less.
In remote country, the plan is the protection.
Far more often than a guard, what keeps a traveller safe is a considered plan for the day something goes wrong.
Before you travel, we map the nearest clinics and hospitals to each camp, arrange medical evacuation cover — including air ambulance for remote areas — and liaise with your travel insurer so there are no gaps. Kenya’s air-ambulance network reaches even the furthest airstrips, and the camps we use are equipped and briefed for first response.
We’d rather over-prepare and never use it. Every itinerary carries an evacuation plan appropriate to how remote it is, kept quietly in the background — one more thing you never have to think about. See our guide to medical evacuation and insurance.
What we handle
Led by your requirement. Some guests want nothing more than a quiet evacuation plan in the background; others need a full protective posture. We take our lead from you — and from the professionals you or we appoint — and never impose security you don’t want.
